In the mid-1990s, the Gaja family, giants of Barbaresco and Langhe wines, bought the Santa Restituta estate in Montalcino, near the country church of the same name and started, starting from the 2005 harvest, the production of Brunello di Montalcino with the passion and skill that distinguish it and that have made its wines famous all over the world. Brunello di Montalcino Santa Restituta comes from Sangiovese Grosso grapes from four vineyards on the estate, ages for one year in barriques and one year in oak barrels, it is a wine of great finesse, perfumed with flowers, red fruits and balsamic herbs, soft and persistent on the palate, which sublimely expresses the excellence and quality of Gaja wines.
