Vinification and Aging Hand-harvested. Whole-cluster pressing with fermentation in stainless steel at around 25°C. Aged in second- or third-use barriques for one year and another year in bottle.
Aroma and Flavor Transparent red color from 100% Sangiovese grapes. The nose reveals violet, plum, and spicy notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and cloves. On the palate, it is dry and savory with a long finish.
Certified organic vineyard with southern exposure at 490–530 meters above sea level. Ocean floor soil, consisting of sedimentary clay, gravelly sands, and alluvial silt with marine fossils (shells and oysters). Density approx. 5,200 vines/ha. Yield 35hl/ha. Spurred cordon training system.
