LUCENTE 2023 The 2023 climate was characterized by a relatively mild and dry winter, except for a beautiful snowfall at the end of January. Subsequently, spring was particularly variable, with heavy rainfall concentrated in the months of May and June, requiring meticulous work in the vineyard due to the rapid growth of the plants. The summer, on the other hand, was hot, with temperature peaks in July and August, interrupted by frequent thunderstorms that mitigated water stress in the vineyards, allowing for a slow but gradual ripening of the grapes. The harvest began on September 1st with the Merlot and continued from the second week of the month with the Sangiovese. Harvest conditions were ideal, with sunny days and cool nights that allowed for the maintenance of a beautiful aromatic freshness and excellent polyphenolic maturation. TASTING NOTES With an intense ruby ??red color, Lucente 2023 opens with aromas of ripe blackberry and red currant, with a delicate toasted note. On the palate, it is juicy, lively, and elegant, with ripe, well-defined tannins, giving it a highly pleasant finish and a long finish.
