One of the rarest and most distinctive Italian Pinot Noirs. Vincenzo Tommasi makes it in Casentino, a high hill, submountain between Arezzo and Romagna. Raised with the Burgundian myth, and in particular the figure of Henri Jayer, legendary French producer, Vincenzo understands that the secret to getting the best out of Pinot Noir is to work it by subtraction without unnecessary over-extraction. The mountainous climate of the valley helps him. The 2 hectares of vineyard are cultivated biodynamically. The few grapes harvested are vinified through spontaneous fermentations, without the wine undergoing clarification or filtration. Balsamic freshness, already from the first smell, which refreshes the nostrils. Then the typical profile of Pinot Noir, which recites acidic red fruits, spices and earth. Mouth anything but lean, which has the merit of flowing in souplesse, enlivened by acidity and saline matter. Tannin with an embroidered texture.
