Climate
The winter of 2024 was mild, with well-distributed rains during
the months of February and March, which ensured the accumulation of
an excellent water reserve in the soil. The rise in
temperatures and well-distributed rains starting from mid-April
allowed the regular budding of the plants.
The alternation of rainfall and cool temperatures until
June ensured good development of the shoots and the
newly formed bunch. The summer continued with a
rather warm and dry climate, favoring good flowering and
fruit set, accompanying the plant to the beginning of veraison.
The month of August, characterized by the absence of rain and
warm temperatures during the day and cool during the night,
allowed the Pinot Bianco to reach optimal ripening, maintaining good acidity and flavor,
characteristics of this variety. In the first ten days of
September there were some rains that slowed down the
harvest, which began in the first week of
September and continued until the end of the month.
Winemaking
The harvested grapes, which were vinified separately by vineyard to preserve their territorial identity, were destemmed and
softly pressed. The must was cooled to a temperature of 10 °C to promote natural
clarification. After 48 hours it was transferred to stainless steel tanks where alcoholic
fermentation took place at a temperature not exceeding 16 °C. The wine was then stored in stainless steel tanks at a
temperature of 10 °C until bottling.
Historical Data
Villa Antinori comes from the best Pinot Bianco vineyards of Tenuta Monteloro, on the hills of Fiesole, behind
Florence. A historic label of the Antinori family meets a new expression in this land, capable of
telling the harmony and sensations of an ancient territory dedicated to the production of divine white wines.
Tasting Note
Villa Antinori Pinot Bianco has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose it is delicate, with
citrus aromas of grapefruit and lime that combine with sensations of white flowers and green pepper. On the palate it is rich,
fresh, mineral and characterized by an aftertaste that recalls the hints of fruit perceived on the nose.
