The Macallan 25 Years Sherry Wood is part of the extraordinary Sherry Oak Collection, which comprises a series of Single Malts aged exclusively in selected seasoned oak casks that have held Sherry from Jerez de la Frontera.
Crafted, toasted and seasoned under the watchful eye of the Master of Wood, the casks are delivered to the exacting specifications of the Whisky Mastery Team. It is the oak that contributes the most to the quality, natural colour and distinctive aromas and flavours that characterise the heart of this whisky, which spends 25 years in casks that give it a rich and intense character.
The nose is scented with dried orange, raisins and apricot, with ginger syrup and oak. The palate is rich with notes of dried fruit, black cherries and chocolate, and the finish is persistent, nuanced with dried fruit, dark chocolate and oak.
