Independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail has access to exceptional casks from the Macallan distillery. This allows them to release vintage whiskies no longer bottled directly by the Macallan. These bottles offer a glimpse into the flavorful heights achieved by the Macallan's older vintages. Distilled in 2003, this whisky is matured entirely in a sherry-seasoned oak cask. Only 596 full-strength (60.1%) bottles were produced. Gordon & MacPhail chose not to add colorants or chill-filter.

Nose: Aromas of stewed apples and pears mingle with chocolate, orange oil, and warm spices.

Palate: Full-bodied and balanced on the palate. Fresh fruit notes of cherries and vibrant oranges combine with caramel, dried fruit, and spices, along with hints of nuttiness.

Finish: Long and lingering with subtle oak notes and a warm finish. With lingering notes of apples, pears and toasted oak.
