PRODUCT INFORMATION
The Caol Ila distillery is located on the northeast coast of the island of Islay, overlooking the strait separating Islay from Jura. Founded in 1846, it is one of the island's most important distilleries in terms of volume and production continuity. Caol Ila is known for a clean, linear peaty style, with a strong marine and citrus component, making it recognizable even after long aging.
Gordon & MacPhail is one of Scotland's longest-established independent bottlers, operating since 1895 in Elgin, Speyside. The Discovery Range was designed as an introductory range, dedicated to exploring the style of Scottish distilleries through clearly defined maturations and an immediate profile, without any particular finishing touches.
Caol Ila 13 Years Old – Discovery Range is a peated single malt Scotch whisky matured for a minimum of 13 years in selected ex-bourbon oak casks and bottled unchill-filtered and in its natural colour at 43% ABV as part of the Discovery range from historic Scottish bottler Gordon & MacPhail.
