In the second half of the 1990s, 6 hectares of Rosso di Montalcino DOC vineyards were planted on the Campogiovanni estate. This wine demonstrates the great versatility of Sangiovese, capable of expressing itself at excellent levels even in a less structured and complex version of Brunello. It stands out for its harmony, elegance in its aromas and pleasantness in drinking. Characteristics Vintage The climate trend of 2023 was characterized by a relatively mild and dry winter, followed by a variable and particularly rainy spring. In particular, the months of May and June recorded unstable weather conditions, with abundant rainfall that severely tested the management of the health of the grapes. The summer, on the other hand, was hot, with temperature peaks in July and August. Despite this, the Sangiovese grapes reached maturity in excellent health conditions, without suffering any quantitative repercussions.
