A precious cru in the heart of Ca' Bolani, a two-thousand-year history that begins in the Rome of Consul Opimius, remembered by Petronius Arbiter for the quality of the wines produced under his rule. A terroir representative of the Aquileia DOC and the prized Pinot Bianco grapes. These are the ingredients of this great white wine, capable of evoking intense sensations when young and profound emotions with age. The unique vineyard is enclosed in a small plot of land admirably integrated into the environment: the old vines, rapid pressing, low-temperature fermentation, and patient aging in large barrels enhance its fundamental characteristics. In the glass, we will find the varietal nuances, the ripe fruit, the accents of aged wood, the decisive aroma and the expansive palate.

2020 CLIMATE
For Friuli, the 2020 harvest can be considered a year to remember, with a
grape production that was not only of the highest quality, but also unusually abundant. After a
particularly hot January, followed by two months of cold
temperatures, the vegetative recovery inaugurated a practically perfect climate
until ripening. Long sunny days, punctuated by some
rain, favored bud break, which occurred about 15 days earlier than in
2019, as did flowering, which began in the first half of May. The warm spring
conditions certainly favored the vine's natural phenological phases, right up to
ripening, which occurred in ideal conditions, especially for Sauvignon, Pinot Blanc, and
Pinot Grigio. The harvest, which began on August 16th, yielded healthy and very
fragrant grapes. Overall, Ca' Bolani's 2018 white wines stand out for their
elegance, finesse, and good aging potential.
