Gran Selezione is the highest and most authentic expression of this unique terroir: a journey through elegance and finesse, where fascinating spicy notes blend with red and black fruits in an endless embrace. GRAPE VARIETY: Sangiovese 85%, Merlot 15%. AGE OF THE VINEYARD: 15-20 years VINIFICATION: at a controlled temperature up to a maximum of 28°C. Maceration, depending on the vintage, from 14 to 20 days. ELEVATION: in wood of various sizes starting from a minimum size of 5hl for 8 months, ending with 2 months of rest in thermo-conditioned cement tanks. AGEING INDICATIONS: 10-15 years. Elegantly fresh and intense in softness on the palate with fruity aromas of red fruits and a balanced finish of spices. A wine for every occasion, particularly suitable for raw meat dishes such as “carpaccio” and “steak tartare”, vegetarian and meat sauces. Excellent for aperitifs with cured meats and mature cheeses.
