The Premier Cru Les Santenots Cuvée Gauvain by Hospice de Beaune is born in the Burgundy town of the same name. The proceeds from the sale of the wines are donated to the various activities of the hospitals.

It is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, coming from the Premier Cru Les Santenots, located southwest of Volnay. The grapes undergo a cold pre-fermentation maceration, and are then vinified in thermo-regulated steel tanks with a 5-day fermentation. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 18 months.

It has an intense ruby ??red color. The nose reveals aromas of small black fruits and toasted notes. The sip is meaty, with dense tannins and a long finish.

Perfect to accompany roast pheasant and roast game
