Vermentino di Maremma is a grape variety strongly tied to its terroir. The latest white wine to be born in Fertuna, it is characterized by its warm and complex aromatic expression, as well as its pronounced acidity and good structure. A fresh and lively wine, it perfectly expresses the aromas of the Mediterranean scrub. GRAPE VARIETY Vermentino. AVERAGE AGE OF VINEYARDS 7 years. VINIFICATION AND AGEING After a gentle pressing of the grapes, alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a controlled temperature (14-16°C) for 20 days. No oaking. Brief bottle aging. COLOR Straw yellow with greenish reflections. TASTING NOTES Dry white wine. Fruity on the nose with hints of pear, grapefruit, and spices, typical of the Mediterranean scrub. Full-bodied on the palate, enlivened by a pronounced acidity, which provides freshness and a persistent finish. Mineral, dry, and elegantly finished.
