Bucci's Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore has been one of the most important wines of this denomination for a long time now. The Bucci family expresses the close bond with their land: the company, today covering 350 hectares, is cultivated with diversified production (durum and soft wheat, corn, sugar beets, peas, seed crops, sunflowers, oil and wine). The calcareous soils, the different exposures of the vineyards, careful work on each individual vineyard and the use of large eighty-year-old barrels provide the perfect representation of Verdicchio. Verdicchio Classico Superiore ferments in steel and ages in Slavonian oak barrels for at least 4 months.
VERDICCHIO DEI CASTELLI DI JESI CLASSICO SUPERIORE BUCCI: THE TASTING Bucci's Verdicchio di Jesi Superiore presents itself with a brilliant straw yellow. On the nose it opens gradually: hawthorn, jasmine, peach, apple, some fresh touches of pineapple and kiwi, fresh almond. On the palate it has structure, flavor, fruit flavor and nice length. Excellent with seafood risotto, as with vegetable-based dishes, for example Frecantò, the Marche version of ratatouille.
