GRAPE VARIETY: Sangiovese 100%
Villaggio comes from our youngest vineyards.
WINE CULTURE: Vineyards planted with a density between 6250 and 7800 vines per
hectare. Raised as a sapling on the wall following organic and biodynamic practices.
HARVEST: the fruits are collected in small 15 kg boxes. Followed by one
rigorous manual selection of the bunch and an optical selection of the berries.
VINIFICATION AND AGING: spontaneous fermentations in a
French oak vat. Malolactic in French oak barrels, where the refinement continues for the following 14 - 16 months before blending. They follow
6-8 months in bottle.
