NOTES ON THE VINTAGE
The 2020 vintage was an unpredictable season. A mild and rainy winter led to budbreak in line with the seasonal
average of recent years (early April). In spring, excellent weather conditions favored good vegetative growth
and good bud fertility, with a fairly high bunch potential. However, the weather changed from late
April onwards, with a dry period and slightly above-average temperatures. The qualitative effects were a reduction in
bunch and berry size. Furthermore, July was particularly hot, so we decided to harvest the
Merlot around August 20th to preserve the freshness of this variety. Then we had 25 mm of rain on the last day
of August, which postponed the Cabernet and Petit Verdot harvest from September 10th to 20th, with great balance and
concentration.
