PRODUCT INFORMATION

PALEO ROSSO
Made in 1989, this great wine is the symbol of the winery and one of the most representative labels of the
Bolgheri area. Born as a classic Bordeaux blend, it will become a pure Cabernet Franc in 2001, quickly achieving
resounding success. The name recalls that of a wild herb from the Tuscan coast, to symbolize
territorial identity and the ability to reach every goal.
PALEO ROSSO | 2010
CLIMATE
In this vintage, the balance of the vineyard and the very cool climate were decisive
in achieving the result we had in mind. Each step required great
care and attention, especially during the harvest. The 2010 vintage developed
perfectly with slow and gradual growth, due above all to a
cool and rainy spring and a summer with average temperatures perfectly in
line with the seasonal average and little rainfall. This regularity allowed us
to set up the sale as planned. In fact, we
deliberately delayed the sales period of all the varieties by eliminating the
leaves to aerate the bunches and allow for optimal ripening and concentration. Aided by splendid late summer weather, we harvested, in
excellent conditions, grapes rich in polyphenols, acidity and sugars. The strong
temperature range between day and night helped us maintain the aromas, thus
giving the wine great complexity. DATA SHEET
