The first Sangiovese to be aged in barrique, the first wine assembled with non-traditional varieties, among the first Chianti reds not to include white grapes in its assembly.
Produced from a careful selection of Sangiovese, over 80%, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc after maturing in barrique for about 12 months, it rests in the bottle for a further year of refinement giving this wine an intense ruby ??red color with purple reflections.
Excellent on the palate, thanks to the acidity and structured softness of the tannins, it gives the palate a rich, savory aftertaste characterized by a sweet persistence.
