PRODUCT INFORMATION
PRODUCTION AREA: Trinidad and Tobago
RAW MATERIAL: Molasses
DISTILLATION: Column still
COLOR: Bright amber
AROMA: Delicate notes of tobacco, cocoa, and coconut delight at first, followed by vanilla and tropical fruit.
TASTE: On the palate, it offers a fresh aroma of exotic fruit and citrus, particularly caramelized orange. The finish is initially short but continues to evolve.
NOTE: Rum Explorer is an international project dedicated to the selection of exclusive barrels, created by Château du Breuil, a company renowned for producing the highest quality Calvados. Trinidad is produced by Angostura, the only distillery on the island, which began producing its first bitters in 1824 in Venezuela and then moved there in 1875, where it still produces a wider range of products, including excellent rums.
AGING: A blend of rums aged for 3 to 5 years in ex-Bourbon barrels to balance the structure. Subsequently, it is aged in ex-Madeira barrels to harmonize the flavors and add density and aromatic character. It is then brought to Château du Breuil and refined in ex-Calvados barrels.
