PRODUCT INFORMATION

In the second half of the 1990s, 6 hectares of Rosso di Montalcino DOC vineyards were planted on the Campogiovanni estate. This wine demonstrates the great versatility of Sangiovese,
capable of expressing itself at excellent levels even in a less structured and complex version of Brunello.
It stands out for its harmony, elegant aromas, and pleasantness.
Vintage Characteristics
The 2024 vintage was characterized by a mild, lightly
rainy winter, followed by a spring with regular rainfall that
favored good flowering. The very hot summer,
especially in August, slowed ripening, leading to
a harvest that began around the second half of September.
The autumn rains required careful selection of the
grapes, supported by targeted interventions in the vineyard. Production was
positive in both qualitative and quantitative terms. The wines
feature elegant aromatic profiles, well-integrated tannins,
low alcohol content, and an ideal acid balance for
aging, with a lighter yet fresh and already
pleasant structure.
Tasting Notes and Pairings
A medium-bodied wine, ruby ??red in color, with hints of
cherry, blackberry, and cedar wood. Fresh, smooth flavor, with
surprising length. Pasta dishes with meat sauce,
mushrooms, or truffle. Main courses of pork or veal with sauce.

Soil Characteristics
Medium texture with a predominantly clayey component, mostly silt and
sand, resting on a base of sandstone and calcareous marl.

Vinification and Aging
Maceration for 12 days at a temperature of
28–30°C. Malolactic fermentation in
stainless steel tanks. Maturation in Slavonian oak barrels
for 12 months. Aged in bottle for 2 months.
