True to the company philosophy of producing only wines from the best terroirs around Montalcino, the small 7-hectare plot with vines over 45 years old was acquired in 2018. The acquisition was preceded by over 40 years of friendship with the previous owners, with whom Giovanni Neri planted the vines and cultivated and cared for them over the last decades. Among other things, the best grapes from this vineyard have been used for a small quantity of the eponymous Brunello di Montalcino starting from the 2018 harvest.
Fine aroma of strawberries, aromatic herbs and young leather. On the palate it is taut and lively, with a very precise nuanced Sangiovese fruit, flanked by powerful but not aggressive tannins. On the palate it is long and rounded, with a notable freshness and cheerfulness. It will continue to improve in the coming years with further bottle aging.
