Description The Tâche Grand Cru of the Domaine de la Romanèe Conti is certainly one of the most famous and celebrated wines in the world.
It is produced in an extremely limited number of bottles, around 10 thousand per year, which make it a true legend.
The Tâche extends across the municipality of Vosne-Romanée and represents the southernmost Grand Cru denomination of the entire Côte de Nuits. Until the French Revolution it belonged to the monks of Saint Denis de Nuits who at the time depended on the diocese of Autun.
All the vines have a high average age and the practices, inspired by biodynamics, allow each terroir to express unique and unsurpassed characteristics.
The vinification is very simple, the fermentation temperatures are never altered. The aging in new barrels takes place in the ancient cellars of the monks of Saint-Vivant.
