Wine Description
Produced from 100% pure Picolit grapes. This wine was first produced by the Friulian winery Jermann in 2006; prior to that, Picolit grapes had been used exclusively in blends for the winery's other labels. Jermann’s Picolit del Collio—the estate's signature sweet wine—is crafted from grapes that have undergone natural drying. A precious wine to be savored drop by drop, it is a delicious *passito* that captivates lovers of this style from the very first sip. Truly fabulous in every respect.
Characteristics of Jermann Picolit
Visually, it presents a brilliant, luminous golden-yellow hue in the glass. Tasting it transports the taster to a new dimension. The bouquet is rich and enveloping, featuring notes of baked apples, honey, candied fruit, and barley sugar, complemented by mineral nuances and hints of white pepper. On the palate, it is smooth, deep, and balanced, offering great harmony and a long, lingering finish. Recommended pairings for this sweet wine
A fine wine that pairs beautifully with Roquefort, it is also wonderful as a meditation wine. It should be served chilled at 12°C in a small tulip-shaped glass.
