PEAKS & VALLEYS - VERONA’S LANDSCAPE: The Peaks & Valleys project, designed by Marilisa Allegrini and Andrea Lonardi,
is dedicated to Verona and its various productions (Valpolicella, Soave, and Lugana). A project that aims to raise awareness not only of the wines but also of the diverse territories of Verona: from the rugged reliefs of Valpolicella, where the hills meet the Adige River, to the volcanic soils of the gentle slopes of Soave, to the morainic hills and the sparkling shores of Lake Garda. These peaks and valleys represent the very foundations of the wines. Just think of the limestone vineyards of Valpolicella,
connected to the Lessini Mountains, which produce light, crisp, and savory red wines; the volcanic and limestone hills of Soave, which
produce salty, mineral, and long-lived wines; and the morainic hills, carved out by the ancient Lake Garda glacier in the Lugana area, which produce structured and complex white wines. Peaks & Valleys selects its vineyards based on precise criteria:
soil diversity (limestone, volcanic, morainic), climate, exposure, and altitude (each vineyard is chosen for its specific
combination), native varieties, training systems (espalier, traditional and modern pergola), and the age and heritage of the vines.
Each wine in the portfolio thus authentically expresses its origins, while also meeting contemporary standards
for high-end wines.
TASTING NOTES: Lugana Selva del Vescovo is a combination of the Turbiana grape and the Mediterranean
exposure of Lake Garda. The training system is spurred cordon, and the soil is morainic of glacial origin.
In the glass, it is bright yellow with subtle golden hues. The bouquet expresses white flowers and aromatic herbs,
particularly sage. On the palate, the savory note and intense minerality allow a good acidity to emerge.
INTERESTING FACT: The illustrations on the Peaks & Valleys wine labels depict the vineyards and areas of the various locations in the
project. The blue color of the Lugana label recalls the color of the waters of Lake Garda. In the illustration, you can see
the monumental Tower of San Martino della Battaglia, near our vineyards, and a Saturn, the typical headdress
of the Curia, from which the winery rents the vineyard.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: Serve at 8-10° C and uncork just before serving.
SIZE: 750 ml
