In 2007, the two brothers Gianni and Giorgio Venica, the current owners of the company, dedicated this wine to their father Adelchi. A thank you to everything he had left them: from the cellar to the vineyards, to the precious teachings, not only of the winemaker's profession.
It is a heartfelt wine that represents the bond and the passing of the baton, from one generation to the next, of the Venica family. Alcohol by vol. % 12.50% Total acidity ‰ : 4.82‰ Harvest Grapes harvested and destemmed during the third week of September 2023. Winding | Aging After harvesting, the grapes are macerated for about 14 hours at a temperature of 10/12°C in special containers, protected from oxygen with innovative systems through the recycling of their fermentation carbon, in order to reduce the intake of antioxidants. About 60% of the wine is aged in large 20/27 HL wooden barrels and 5 HL tonneaux, the remaining part in steel containers. Bottling The wine is assembled and then bottled on the full moons of April and July 2024. Color Ribolla Gialla del Collio has a greenish yellow color. Olfactory notes The bouquet, characterized by the scent of wild flowers, is pleasant and delicate. On the nose, the typical notes of Golden apple and Kaiser pear blend with the citrus ones. Tasting notes Great freshness typical of the grape variety and an almost salty flavor that goes hand in hand with a light minerality. The citrus notes return and act as a closure together with an elegant acidity. To accompany with Delicate seafood appetizer, sandwiches with tuna sauce, creamed courgette soup, butter and salmon croutons or grilled chicken salad. Serving temperature 12/13°C Aging potential over 6 years
