It is Panizzi's first red wine, born in 1989. The wine that acts as a counterpart to the Chianti Colli Senesi of the vintage; in the Riserva version, matured in small French oak barrels, it acquires thickness and depth, thanks also to a small percentage of international vines that give a pleasant balsamic finish in the mouth. A wine of character that retains the tasty drinkability of the Sangiovese Chiantigiano. The name Vertunno is inspired by the Etruscan deity Voltumna, the goddess with the cornucopia, who together with the god Veltha represent the divine dyad of the Etruscan pantheon. The entire production of Chianti Colli Senesi in its two declinations: the Riserva and the Annata is dedicated to the Voltumna-Veltha dyad.
