Intense ruby ??red with purple highlights. The nose is dominated by aromas of morello cherry and blackberry, with hints of sweet spices and undergrowth. On the palate, the wine is enveloping and balanced, with soft tannins that lead to a lingering finish of red fruit and balsamic notes.
Vinification: In steel vats for 15 days at a controlled temperature (26°C): daily pumping over until fermentation is complete. Subsequent brief maceration on the skins for another 5-6 days.
Aging: After an initial 5-month aging in second-/third-use wood, the wine remains in steel throughout the summer, before continuing to age in the bottle.
Alcohol Content: 13% vol.
