Only the finest Sangiovese grapes selected from the company's Chianti Classico vineyards go into this Riserva, a powerful blend of tradition and modernity. The label depicts a famous Titian painting, "Man in Armor." Vintage Characteristics The 2021 vintage had a normal seasonal trend, with spring rains that favored vegetative development and guaranteed water reserves for the summer. There were slight delays in shoot growth due to lower temperatures after Easter, but without negative impacts on plant health. The summer was dry with only sporadic rains, but the accumulated water reserves prevented stress of the plants. Summer temperatures were moderate, without excessive heat waves. Starting in late August, nighttime temperatures significantly dropped, facilitating grape ripening. The harvest began around September 20th, and the grapes were healthy and of high quality.
