Then also coffee, tobacco, laurel and woody. It has exceptional concentration and superb purity on the palate, not to mention a length that is truly interminable. The tannins are velvety and sweet, and promise to sustain it for many more years to come.
PAIRING: great Bordeaux, even more pleasant if accompanied by a risotto with bacon, sage and smoked ricotta.
