Care and dedication permeate every stage, from the vineyard's birth to its transformation in the cellar to its aging in wood.
Brunello di Montalcino is made using only the finest Sangiovese grapes from the Podere. The long maturation—a full two and a half years—takes place in French oak barrels, followed by a stint in cement and 18 months of bottle aging, a crucial period for Giodo's Brunello di Montalcino's elegance, balance, and depth. On the palate, it displays great class; it's a complex, deep, intriguing wine, intense but not opulent, smooth, and extraordinarily persistent.
The label tells a little story: a stylized man representing Sangiovese supports the winemaking world because in Montalcino, it is the only representative of the denomination.
