VINTAGE 2020
DESIGN OF ORIGIN Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
GRAPE VARIETY 100% Sangiovese
VINTAGE NOTES Winter 2020 was marked by mild temperatures and below-average rainfall. A return of cold weather at the end of March slowed vegetative growth, but bud break was consistent with previous years. Spring continued as usual with mild weather. Flowering and fruit set occurred under optimal conditions. June saw excellent rainfall. The summer was warm and sunny, without excessive temperatures. All this led to a slow and steady ripening of the grapes.
GIOVANNI NERI'S NOTES Brilliant and lively red. The nose is captivating with mineral notes, followed by black cherry and pink flowers. The palate is juicy, opening with citrus sensations accompanied by hints of blueberry. The tannins are lively and well-balanced. The finish is framed by the tension of the acidity and the still-young fruit.
