PRODUCT INFORMATION
Produced from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from the best parcels of our vineyards in
Le Sondraie, it is the faithful expression of a unique terroir. It combines immediate
pleasure with character, strength and longevity.
Characteristics Vintage
2022 was a year marked by a specific period of
drought that began at the end of winter and persisted for
most of the summer. In mid-August, a series of
storms proved providential during the crucial period of
grape ripening. The Bolgheri varieties
demonstrated a very positive response, on the one hand
resilient to the initial lack of water and, on the other,
effectively metabolizing the rains, ultimately allowing
optimal ripening, especially for the late-ripening varieties. The harvest began around
the second week of September and ended at the end of
September.
Tasting Notes and Pairings
Deep ruby ??red in color, the wine
presents hints of ripe fruit on the nose, with spicy notes
of licorice and cocoa. On the palate it is full, dense,
with silky and enveloping tannins.
