Sassicaia is produced on the Tenuta San Guido estate in Bolgheri, on the Tuscan coast. The vineyards are located between hills and plains, at varying altitudes and enjoying constant ventilation. The Mediterranean climate offers hot summers and mild winters. Sandy soils with a calcareous and gravelly skeleton favor regular ripening and aromatic concentration. Temperature variations support acidity and tannic definition, while the Bordeaux influence interacts with the Maremma.
