GRAPE VARIETIES: 100% Sangiovese.
TERROIR: shale fessurabile with the presence of clay
VITICULTURE: vineyards planted from 7.000 to 10.000 vines per hectare, trained in Alberate, organically managed and following the biodynamic principles.
HARVEST: grape harvest is done completely by hand, property by property, passing through the vineyard rows multiple times until the grapes have reached perfect maturity.
VINIFICATION AND MATURATION: spontaneous
fermentation in French oak vats at a temperature between 27 – 30° C. Every vineyard plot is vinified separately as a CRU. The contact with the skins last 18 - 24 days during maceration . The
malolactic fermentation occurred in French oak barriques of 225 – 228 lt. and in tonneaux of 600lt. 24 months of ageing in bottles follow before the wine release.
ALCOHOL: 15 % vol.
TASTING NOTES: red colour with purple nuances, it combines complexity and aromatic intensity to the typical vintage concentration. It gifts red fruity and cherry notes. Floral and balsamic aromas are well integrated with the pleasant toasted notes. The taste shows silky tannins. The refined structure and typical mineral aftertaste of our Sangiovese are completed and supported by an optimal acidity. The fineness of the texture and a perfect balance give it a great elegance.
