GUIDALBERTO DELLA GHERARDESCA, AN ANCESTOR TO REMEMBER Guidalberto marks the new millennium: the 2000 vintage appears on the market. The oratory of San Guido is portrayed on the label and the wine takes its name from the ancestor Guidalberto della Gherardesca, a pioneer of agricultural conversion. We are in the early decades of the 1800s when Guidalberto della Gherardesca built the first factories, the first churches and the famous avenue of cypresses, trees useful for marking the boundaries between different crops, in an initial phase. The ornamental value of the tall and straight cypresses that run in double rows, comes at a later time.
