It is a pure Merlot which owes its name to a small stream that flows near the property. When in 1994 Rita and Virgilio withdrew two barriques of Merlot from production, perhaps they did not think they had created what would become an international cult wine.
From those vineyards planted in 1988, in the heart of the company on a slight slope, an exceptional fruit is born. Their position, the composition of the land and the microclimate in their combination have given life to this unique wine of its kind.
