Biserno is part of the small circle of the best Supertuscans, produced in the splendid territory of the Tuscan coast between Bibbona and Bolgheri. It is a classic Bordeaux blend made with: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, which in this area of ??Tuscany express themselves at high quality levels, with an elegant, mature and enveloping profile. Despite being produced with international vines, it is a wine that brings all the best Mediterranean characteristics of the terroir to the glass.

The red Biserno is produced in the Tenuta di Biserno, a splendid plot of land located along the Tuscan coast, a wonderful area of ??soft hills between Bibbona and Bolgheri. We are in the heart of the Alta Maremma, where the warm and sunny climate, thanks to the mild sea breezes, is sweeter and very suitable for the vines of Bordeaux origin, which have found a second home here. The soils are very suitable, have an alluvial origin and are composed of limestone, pebbles and clay, in various proportions depending on the different areas of the estate. It was thus possible to plant Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot on the most suitable soils, to enhance their best characteristics. The vines are trained with spurred cordon, with a planting density of 6500 vines per hectare. It comes from a careful selection of the best grapes from the most suitable vineyards of the estate. Destemming and soft pressing are followed by fermentation in steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 4 weeks. The wine rests for 15 months in barrique, 75% of which are new and the rest already used. The refinement in the bottle is expected to last at least one year before being put on sale, but the wine reaches its full expressive maturity 4 or 5 years after bottling.

Biserno wine is an excellence for connoisseurs, dedicated to those who love the great reds of the Tuscan coast, which manage to combine the typicality of the place with the varietal characteristics of the noble Bordeaux vines. The color is a very intense ruby ??red with garnet reflections. The aromas are fine and elegant and recall small dark berries, plums, cherries, red fruit jams, spices and tobacco. The sip is important, full-bodied and structured, with a fine tannic texture, complex, deep aromas and a persistent, harmonious and spicy finish.
