TASTING NOTES
At the sight it reveals a beautiful ruby ??red, intense and dark in the glass. The nose offers a refined olfactory bouquet, in which fruity and ripe tones of blueberries, blackberries and berries meet, which are combined with a delicate note of vanilla and cocoa, spices and dark chocolate, tobacco and black truffle. The mouth is full-bodied and rich, of great density, guided by soft, smooth and silky tannins. The fruits perceived on the nose also return to the palate, and give a fresh, elegant and endlessly persistent finish.

PAIRINGS
Ideal to combine with game courses, it is wonderful with juniper-flavored deer leg, but like all great wines it is also wonderful to sip on its own.

It is the "Masseto", son of the Tuscan hill of the same name where there was once a marsh, and where today the merlot vines grow on soils with unique characteristics, in a particularly favorable microclimate. To this is added the great quality of super cellars - such as Tenuta dell'Ornellaia - capable of presenting, in a sort of ideal continuity, the same profile in the different vintages, at the same time emphasizing what are the best peculiarities of the vintage.
