PRODUCT INFORMATION
From the friendship that binds the owners of Avignonesi in Montepulciano and Capannelle in Chianti comes our refined wine 50&50. The first vintage of 50&50 was released in 1988: during a convivial dinner, the then owners of the two wineries began comparing their wines and created this exceptional blend of 50% Sangiovese from Capannelle and 50% Merlot from Avignonesi.

50&50 has an intense, dark ruby ??red color with purple highlights. On the nose, it reveals fragrances of small red fruits, currants, black cherries, and blueberries, which then give way to harmonious nuances of undergrowth and sweet spices like vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate, it is satisfying, and sweetness and tannins blend perfectly in a flavorful symphony that is broad, elegant, decisive, and rounded. Ripe fruit and spices return, and the aftertaste releases balsamic mint and thyme. The finish is long, and the palate is caressed by silky, soft tannins.
