Montemarano: south-east exposure, clay soil. Mirabella Eclano: south-west exposure, well-drained sandy-loam soil. Average altitude: 450 m a.s.l. Trellis training system with spurred cordon pruning. Average planting density: 4,000 vines/ha. Yield: approx. 50 quintals/ha and 1.3 kg/vine.

Late October to early November. Hand-harvested.
VINIFICATION AND AGING
Classic red winemaking; extended skin maceration (approx. 25 days) at controlled temperatures (22°C–24°C). Aged in French oak barriques and Slavonian oak casks for approximately 24 months, followed by at least 24 months in the bottle.
