Fruity and fragrant, the Rosso Biondi-Santi paves the way for Brunello. For Biondi-Santi, the Rosso has always been a special wine with a precise identity: it reflects the elegant Biondi-Santi style with significant structure and freshness, key elements for the wine's longevity. However, its fruity character stands out, making it perfect for enjoying even at a young age.
The Rosso is produced with grapes from our youngest vineyards, and from vineyards that produce particularly fruity grapes. It is fermented in concrete tanks and ages in wood for a shorter period than that of the Brunello.
This wine was originally created as the "white label" for the Brunello Biondi-Santi. It was renamed in 1983 when the Rosso di Montalcino DOC was established.
