Orgolio della Poderina is a project by Diamante d’Alessio, a journalist for 30 years and a consultant for companies in the world of luxury and culture. This elegant and distinctive oil originates in the gentle, unspoiled landscape of the Siena countryside. Orgolio della Poderina is a blend of three cultivars: Frantoio, Moraiolo, and Leccino—native varieties hand-picked at their perfect stage of ripeness—giving rise to a refined EVOO reminiscent of arugula, freshly cut grass, artichoke, pepper, and almond. Rich in polyphenols, it is a bright chartreuse green with golden hues and reflections. This history, rooted in the land, is intertwined with that of Ichendorf, a design brand renowned for its refined glassware. Founded in the early 20th century near Cologne, it relocated to Milan in the 1990s, both as its owner and headquarters, where it collaborates with international designers and produces worldwide. Its evolution speaks to a philosophy that sees transparency as the ultimate aesthetic act: a way to restore light, purity, and truth to the material itself.
Borosilicate glass, mouth-blown and hand-crafted, thus becomes a poetic material, capable of transforming every object into a micro-architecture of light, designed to enhance its contents.
From the collaboration of these two entities, formally distant but only in origin, a world is born that speaks of a shared passion for design, style, and the obsessive pursuit of perfection. This takes shape in an idea where content and container mirror and enhance each other, dancing in an ideal pas de deux where the glass illuminates the color of the oil, which, in turn, enhances the forms of those who hold it.
