Climate
Winter 2023 was characterized by generally mild temperatures
and regular rainfall, which ensured
excellent water reserves in the soil. Bud break began in early April, following a
spring characterized by a cool and
predominantly rainy season. June saw a
significant increase in temperatures, while during
August, sporadic rainfall and excellent temperature ranges
between day and night allowed for an excellent start to
ripening. The harvest for Nobile di Montepulciano
began on September 12th for the Merlot, a few days
later than average, and concluded on October 3rd with the
Sangiovese. At harvest time, the grapes
presented a good balance.
