Moscato d'Asti DOCG
2025
VARIETY
Moscato Bianco
DESCRIPTION
A wine with a soft, lively character that offers a modern take on the
Piedmontese Moscato tradition, successfully expressing all its
characteristic sweetness and aromatic qualities.
After two years of particularly low rainfall, the 2024 vintage began with
concerns regarding vineyard survival. The weather shifted radically in late
February, bringing the first rains accompanied by temperatures that
remained above the seasonal average for winter.
The high volume of water (approximately 800 mm of rain in the first seven
months) led to aggressive fungal pathogen activity, particularly downy
mildew and, in some cases, powdery mildew.
Production outcomes were heavily influenced by pathogen pressure and
the growers' ability to manage canopy growth and crop protection.
Despite the challenging weather conditions, the growers' experience and
timely vineyard treatments resulted in high-quality wines that are
remarkably refined and elegant.
Straw-yellow color with subtle golden highlights.
Aromatic, varietal Moscato nose with notes of acacia flowers, white
peach, and sage.
Sweet, fresh, and well-structured on the palate, with hints of honey and
a finish reminiscent of candied citrus peel.
A dessert wine that pairs beautifully with traditional *amaretti* cookies
from the Lower Piedmont region and assorted small pastries.
