PRODUCT INFORMATION

Classification:
Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva
Blend:
Sangiovese and other complementary varieties
Climate:
The 2015 climate was extremely
regular and respected the typical seasonal
patterns of the Chianti Classico region. A cold and
relatively dry winter preceded a spring
characterized by humid weather in March and
April and dry weather in May and June; during this
period, temperatures were regular, ensuring
perfect vegetative development and excellent flowering
and fruit set. The summer was hot, with a
peak in July, with excellent temperature variations
between day and night that ensured the growth of the
bunches without any particular stress. The month of
August, also hot, was characterized by some
precipitation that favored an optimal start to the
ripening process.
The harvest took place between the second half of September and
the beginning of October, months characterized by dry
and breezy weather.

Vinification:
Upon arrival at the cellar, the bunches were destemmed and then gently pressed. The
must thus obtained was transferred to stainless steel tanks where
alcoholic fermentation took place, which lasted approximately a week. Maceration was carried out with
very gentle pumping over and delestage to ensure intense extraction while
preserving the elegance and sweetness of the tannins. After malolactic fermentation,
which occurred spontaneously by the end of the year, the blended wine continued its
aging period in French and Hungarian oak barriques for approximately a year. This was followed by
a further 12 months of bottle aging.
Historical data:
A historic Antinori wine, produced since the 2011 vintage with grapes from the
Tignanello estate. A wine that fully expresses the quality and elegance of the Sangiovese
from these areas.
Tasting notes:
Deep ruby ??red in color, the nose presents notes of ripe red fruit combined with intense hints of
vanilla and spice. On the palate, it is enveloping, balanced, and lively, with soft and silky tannins. The finish is long
and persistent.
