Aroma: Ethereal, with a broad bouquet, slightly vanilla-like.
Palate: Full-bodied, smooth, velvety, and intense, with hints of licorice,
spices, and a slight hint of tar.
WINEMAKER'S REVIEW
A classic Banfi wine from Montalcino. Made from Sangiovese grapes, the result of
clonal selection carried out on the estate and aged in both large barrels and French
oak barriques, it is a rare example of the perfect synthesis between tradition and modern winemaking.
Elegant and powerful, it is enjoyable immediately yet suitable for very long
aging.
FOOD PAIRINGS
It is particularly suited to accompany red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
A wine for long aging.
