PRODUCT INFORMATION
Classification:
Bolgheri DOC Superiore
Blend:
62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 18% Cabernet
Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot
Climate:
The 2015 vintage was characterized by a moderately cool
winter and a dry, mild spring.
Budbreak and flowering were earlier
than the previous season. Initially, the
summer period saw a significant rise in
temperatures, which then re-equilibrated from the second
half of August, allowing the grapes to
reach perfect ripeness.

Guado Al Tasso / 2015
Vinification:
Harvest began on September 12th with the Merlot and concluded on October 9th with the Cabernet
Sauvignon. The grapes were selected in two stages: immediately after harvest and after
destemming, to ensure that only the most ripe grapes reached the
fermentation tanks. As with every harvest, the individual vineyard plots were divided into
many small harvest plots according to the vintage's climate, distinguishing them by
the characteristics of the grapes and vinifying them separately. Fermentation and maceration took place
in temperature-controlled steel tanks for 15 to 20 days. After racking,
the wine was racked directly into barriques, where it underwent
malolactic fermentation. At the end of the first year of aging in new French oak barriques, the wine
was blended and returned to wood for a further six months before bottling.
Historical data:
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and occasionally a small amount of Petit Verdot, to
represent the elegance, complexity, and structure of the Bolgheri terroir. It has been produced since
1990 from vineyards located on alluvial soils, ranging from sandy-clay to silty-clay, with
the presence of Bolgheri agglomerate (scheletro).
Tasting notes:
Guado al Tasso 2015 is characterized by a rich and complex bouquet, with hints of tobacco,
roasted coffee, and leather, blending with aromas of ripe dark berries. On the palate, the wine is vibrant,
with tannins and a pleasing freshness that lend liveliness and persistence. The aftertaste is
spicy and fruity, wholesome, and fragrant. This will be a vintage with great
aging potential.
