Superior Doc 2000
An iconic wine from Bolgheri
It is an excellent Tuscan wine from the Bolgheri area on the Tuscan coast and has a
unique character. Juicy notes of blackcurrant, cedar wood and wild strawberries stand out,
mixed with delicate nuances of rosemary and pepper. Wonderfully balanced and
harmonious, with a soft and complex silky structure. This historic label is a
perfect combination of international Cabernet and Merlot varieties and local Sangiovese.
COMBINATIONS
Steak, grilled meat, meat dishes, game, mushroom or truffle risotto,
matured mountain cheese
HOW TO SERVE IT
Serve at 16-18°C
WINEMAKING
A wine coming from a 10 hectare vineyard located 100 meters above sea level with
vines with an average age of 20 years. Balanced soils enjoying a Mediterranean climate
delicate. After the manual harvest of the grapes, the Sangiovese ferments in truncated cone vats
open wood, while the French grapes follow a fermentation in stainless steel.
Aging takes place in French barriques for 18 months, followed by refinement for 12 months
in the bottle
