The "conquest" of Vigna Rionda started exactly in 1956: Giuseppe, our grandfather, fell in love with that splendid vineyard and thus perfected - with many difficulties - the purchase of a small portion. The operation involves an exchange, specifically to obtain that part he must sell one twice its size. A bet, of course, but also an act of faith and a proof of great foresight.
Ecstatic and happy to have realized this great dream of his, he even decides to call the family business Azienda Agricola Vigna Rionda a name that is still proudly unchanged today.
This was followed by new parcels in the years 1967, 1985 and 1987, to complete our properties which today reach about 3 hectares out of the total 10.24 of the Geographical Mention.

In 1982 our first Barolo Vigna Rionda Massolino was born, vinifying the grapes from that specific cru in purity. It is an important choice of field, especially if one considers the background of the time, when the general habit is to produce a single Barolo by assembling the grapes of all the company vineyards.
